How stagnant Energy in your Body System, once again, can flow Freely



Every one of us knows by now that our body system is made of more than what we know, meaning, besides the visible and dense energy field, our body is created with like the muscular-skeletal system, lymphatic system, endocrine system, etc. we are also made of subtle energy invisible to the naked eye.

What are the subtle energies?

Under subtle energies, we mean energies which are unseen through the naked eye, although, there are humans who have the gift to see beyond the veil of our reality, they are called clairvoyants. Here are the most commonly used expression for subtle energy bodies.

  • Astral or Etheric body
  • Emotional Body
  • Mental Body
  • Spiritual Body
  • The Aura *the aura itself has further 10 different layers which are not discussed in details at this point*


Then, there are also two major subtle energy systems, again, there are a few more, but the following two are the most known in a broader sense

However, this is not the topic of this article. These unseen, invisible energies can be measured in different ways. Kirlian photography is one of the first methods to make the energy visible around an object.

Today, there are whole Aura stations available and with their software, they can make the aura of a person visible and in which state it is currently in.

Through the visibility and the use of colors, it can provide to the practitioner vital clues in which emotional, mental or spiritual state the person, who is being tested, is in.

However, there are people who do have the ability to see and feel these subtle energies and even can provide valid information on how healthy are these energies.

There are further healing methods available that work with the subtle energy system to help the person who is seeking relief from their conditions and are being able to help the body to heal and to strengthen those energy systems. Here are a few.

  • Reiki
  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
  • The Emotion and Body Code
  • The Body Talk System

All these healing modalities do work with the whole body system and they do acknowledge, that subtle energy does influence a person’s physical body as well as its psyche.

What to do when you can’t find a Practitioner?

Let’s face it, not everyone lives in a big city, or in a bigger town where many possibilities are a given. Nobody knows it better than I am living in the countryside, surrounded by farmland but not much infrastructure.

Don’t get me wrong, I love where I am, however, I sometimes do miss certain things which I had before when I still was living in the city.

In this article I will tell you what you can do for yourself when you feel the need to boost your energy levels and trust me, you do know when your energy levels are being low or even depleted.

What are the Symptoms of Low and Depleted Energy Levels?

We all do sometimes run low on energy, in my opinion, this can occur at least once a day. The typical time frame is the early afternoon, hours after we had Lunch.

Nevertheless, it doesn’t matter when you will feel low on energy the facts are, that you do, at some point throughout the day and it is also a normal occurrence.

However, we also seem to know how we can counterbalance these low energy levels in our daily life; and, low energy usually doesn’t have a huge impact on our health if we do something regularly to boost up our energy levels, refuel ourselves so to speak.




The situation looks a little different when we speak of depleted energy. Depletion doesn’t come overnight, but, happens over time in a constant matter. Here are some examples of how depletion can occur.

On the Physical plane, if you do work constantly with no real timeout, like working 80 hours a week, no weekends off and so forth you will deplete your energy level.

With this, almost, “brutal” behavior towards one’s own body the impact of depletion will eventually show up. When it will happen does depend on the individual’s stamina and resistance.

However, let’s be clear, no one will sustain the lack of sleep, proper nutrition and relaxation time forever, the so-called “burnout” effect eventually will show up.




Furthermore, as most of my readers will agree with me that an energy depletion will occur, taking the above example into the account, energy depletion also can happen on the emotional-, mental and spiritual plane.

The experience for this kind of energy depletion is known as one word “Depression”.

I will not go into the meaning itself what depression is or not. There are different versions of depression, like “clinical depression”, who can already occur in children and young adults and are in need of a different assessment and how to work with the patient in a long-term setting.

However, I do believe that most of the people I know, including myself, went at least at one point in time through a phase called a “depression spell”.




If you are not sure if you went through a depression spell here are some possible symptoms:

  • Being in a depressed mood most of the day, perhaps every day
  • No real interests any more in activities the individual usually enjoys
  • Possible change of eating habits, eating either too less or too much
  • Sleeping patterns have changed
  • Feeling Fatigued
  • Feeling Irritable or Restless
  • No real self-worth anymore
  • Anxious
  • Unspecified Fear
  • Feeling Guilty all the time
  • Some difficulty in thinking or to concentrate for a longer period of time
  • Difficulty in decision-making
  • Thinking of death, perhaps suicidal thoughts

These are just a few possible symptoms and not all have to be present at the same time. The symptoms I went through was to have no interest in the activities I usually had enjoyed, feeling restless and unspecified fear spells.

We are all different and just one of these symptoms for depression is enough, when it goes longer for just a couple of days, to be in what is called a “depression spell”.

Having a depression spell, which eventually will go away again once the root cause has been identified, i.e. being ignored from family or friends, at least so it seems, having some issues at the workplace, with the boss or a colleague, or some serious trouble with a close relationship, but can’t or won’t talk about it, trying to solve it on its own.

We all have been there and I think you know by now what I am talking about.

These issues may be resolved in a short/middle period and probably everything is back to normal. However, if this isn’t the case and the unsolved situation goes on for months, even for years, our internal and external energy reservoir will run empty and, if this happens, we are more than just in big trouble.

Energy depletion, at least in the holistic medicine, has always a bigger cause which can be as minuscule, as some people might see it, as feeling “worthless” your whole life. Nevertheless, this feeling of worthlessness will catch up with the individual in the end by showing serious symptoms of a disease i.e. Cancer.

What actually is Stagnant Energy?

Now, we are getting somewhere with all this being said.

Cancer, or any disease for that matter, may it be serious or minor, can only occur through stagnant or blocked energy, either in our physical body or, in one of the subtle bodies happening for months and years, even decades.

NOTE: Before you will feel the stagnant energy in your body the stagnation already has happened in one or more on the subtle energy levels

In the end, we will see the end result of this constant and steady depletion of our precious energy level. The body system as a whole, including the subtle bodies/energies, has coping mechanisms on its own that’s why we still can go on for so long without taking any notice of how serious our situation already is.

We can feel the stagnant energy as pain. Everywhere in our body where we can feel pain, there is stagnant energy trying to “push” through because energy likes to flow and swirl and being vibrant but, if energy can’t do this and becomes stagnant of some sort, we sure will know it right away, in the form of PAIN.

The sad part is that we don’t speak the same language as our body and therefore will ignore the early stages when energy becomes stagnant. We too have our own coping mechanism and this is, mostly, taking pain medications, sometimes getting some massages or physiotherapy.

However, as soon we are feeling better we have forgotten about it until something else will show up and the cycle starts again.

I personally have read it three times and use it as a reference when I need to know more about the “energy” cause of a specific condition.

Here are some Alternatives to get and keep your Natural Energy Flowing

If you are suffering from some conditions, either physically or psychologically and also have been under a Physicians care, and yet, nothing seems to improve, this would be a good time to consult a holistic energy practitioner.

Most of these practitioners are certified in these Healing Modalities:

  • Reiki
  • Body Talk
  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)
  • Emotion/Body Code
  • Therapeutic Touch

The beauty of these healing modalities is the fact that you can use them and be still under your medical physician’s care. All of these methods are complementary and do not interfere with any medical treatment.

All these things do have a positive effect on a person’s psyche and the body as a whole.

    Your article brought me the perfect help for this afternoon. We took nice bike ride to the ocean this morning what made me feel good and full of energy. However, my energy level dropped shortly after and I worked something here and there feeling not really motivated. This reminded me that I worked intense and long hours for quite bit time.
    And your article reminded me to do more to keep my energy though in motion.
    Ironically, I practiced Donna’s energy work out for almost two years but stopped doing this since I came to Hawaii. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for reminding me!! I enjoyed the exercise with Donna Eden a lot and feel much better than several minutes ago! I also just decided to uses the Energy Kit by Donna Eden more often!

  2. Very good article.  I have personally found that I can get my energy flowing by a combination of techniques that include EFT, visualization, and meditation. 

    I often have blockage of the same chakras and it really helps me to visualize them open, following by 10-15 of EFT and meditation.

    I’ve never however heard of some of the other techniques you list here and I’ll continue to read your blog to learn more.

      There are certainly so many different techniques to achieve the same results and this is okay because we are all not the same, what works well for one person may be not working for another one.

      There is also no law to try out new techniques we always can learn new things.

Hi Sylvia, Very interesting article and you touch on an illness that has just become an accepted part of society due to the pressures of not living a balanced life and focusing on everything external in our lives with us never being taught about how important it is to understand our inner being. You give some simple but very worthwhile tools to overcome and if made into habits are probably going to eliminate depression e.g.meditaion walking in nature etc.

    With the epidemic that is depression, I hope we can all heed the advice you have given here

      Yes, I do agree we certainly need to learn to also take a closer look at what is actually going on inside of ourselves instead of chasing after every new development in the outside world. This also, unfortunately, increases more depressions and other mental conditions than ever before.

    I found your article absolutely fascinating.

    I really wish that I could see auras, and I would love to know more about the aura stations which you mention, I have never heard of those. My husband used to be able to see people’s auras, but he recently had a stroke and now can no longer see them, which is very sad.

    I would really like to know which of the methods you mention would be the best to release the stagnant energies – I know that my daughter really needs that so much and I want to help her. 

    I absolutely love the Energy video that you show, and I am definitely going to do my best to follow that every day. I am also going to pass it on to my daughter – I feel sure that she will benefit from it. I would strongly recommend that everyone should do those Energy exercises regularly, I am sure that everyone would benefit from them.

I never actually heard of stagnant energy, but I have to say I am finding this fascinating.  I’m all things health and nutrition when it comes to the food I eat and supplements I take, and I try to get out and get energy, but this is very new to me, and I want to learn more.  You have put a lot of different books in this article, but what would you suggest would be the best book to start reading to learn more about this?

      Stagnant energy is nothing else but energy which can’t flow freely anymore and we will know about it when we feel low, sick or are in pain; this all can be named as a form of stagnant energy.

      Eating healthy and using good supplements is important too but alone won’t bring the energy flowing again. This is the part where we are in need to do more and find a way to unwind and learn to be more relaxed.

      To achieve relaxation and reduce stress can be done with many different tools just follow your gut feeling.

      Which book you should read first is also totally up to you. It doesn’t matter which book you are choosing at this moment it will be the right book for you. Again, follow your own gut feeling or intuition. 🙂

    This is a nice post on subtle energies and I enjoyed reading it. You have a fine list of good and helpful books.
    I was intrigued to read there are Aura stations available? I remember it is a long time ago, where I tried to learn to see my own Aura.
    At the moment I am doing a fasting cure of 9 days. I started with doing these cures beginning of 1990 and have done more than 40 since then. I find it gives a lot of extra energy and makes you feel well balanced.
    Some years ago I did have a kind of burn out. My Cortisol was sky high and all the rest was nearly on 0. This was caused by the total hysterectomy I had in 2008. Luckily I got that sorted out with the help of an anti-aging doctor.
    Some years ago I was depressed, caused by a court case for fraud which I started in 2011. I was on the verge of losing my home ending up on the street and without money to buy food. I really thought, I cannot take this anymore, I am stepping out. Well, I did not and somehow I got myself out of this depression. The legal stuff is still going on but luckily it worries me a lot less.
    Life has its ups and downs but I know we are nearly always capable to come back on top again.

      Yes, unfortunately, our energy can become stagnant when we have to deal with personal issues which are impacting not just our physical body but also our mental and emotional bodies.

      Everything, which isn’t addressed properly to be resolved/healed, can leave us in deep limbo. Constant stress is one of the worst culprits you can think of. When a person has to deal with things, like you so kindly and openly, have mentioned, it certainly will deplete your personal energy.

      I am glad, that you have found a way to pull yourself out of it, “stepping out” as you so terrifically have said.

      I would suggest you try out Donna Eden’s 5-minute energy boost. It has helped me so very much to become more energized and balanced again.

  7. Hi Sylvia, I am not a practitioner but I have knowledge on a few oriental methods and just recently have put them in motion for my own self-healing and it has been an amazing journey.

    I noticed in the video that Donna Eden make reference to the lymphatic system. I am a firm believer that the lymph nodes have a lot to do with meridians more then we will know, and most of Donnas exercises are in fact working on Meridians and the Lymph Nodes.

    I find it very interesting the knowledge and techniques that are used in healing from other practitioners. When it comes down to healing our body they are all valid methods. That are all working for the better good of the body.

    My information comes from a much higher source but I would go into that. I like very much how you explain the energy flow and I agree with you on many points. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) does, in fact, work on the meridian system, the same as Acupuncture and Acupressure.

    Life has a very strange way of manifesting and the people that we come in contact with. I believe there is a much higher meaning of why this happens. All have brought me to a much higher understanding of the body’s capacity for healing itself.

    You are an amazing person and your work here is much needed as the saying goes there is always a better way. This has been my road, always searching and always looking for a better way.

         Thanks for the great post.  I have a friend who does some sort of energy photography.  I’ll have to ask her if it’s Kirlian photography.

    I haven’t really given holistic energy much thought.  For me it’s always been medical doctors and a chiropractor here and there.  The “main stream” healing options.  I find this really interesting but have concerns as to finding “real” holistic practitioners vs “hacks” or well meaning but not quite right ones.  Does that make sense?

    How can I go about finding legitimate practitioners in my area for a consult?

      Yes, we all have to watch out for so-called “crooks” etc but, in my opinion, this goes for all parts of offered goods and services, but I know what you mean.

      To your question, I would suggest to check out your local business directory because, again, in my opinion, the real “good” ones and also legit will put themselves in this kind of registry.

      Word to mouth also is a good way to find a good practitioner.

      I further recommend that you will call first and talk to the person letting them know you mean business! A well-qualified practitioner will never shy from answering your questions and addressing your concern.

    I am a true believer that our bodies is some source of energy. Thank you for the solution on the healing methods so we don’t have to trek all the way to the city! I will give the book recommended a try. Time is hard to come by but I think quality time spending on me is a great investment since I have been struggling with depression lately, I am going to find the root of the problem and fix that.

This is great information, however I do want to learn more.  I have had some depression bouts recently due to some health issues.  So what kind of practitioner do you see for this?  I mean can I do meditation or some other alternative.  I certainly do not want to go in and get a bunch of pills.  I would just like to get back on track with my normal happy self.  I need to see the positive side of me again.  

    1. Thanks for your time in leaving a comment and I also know what you mean by refusing to take a bunch of pills, I am kind of the same way.

      However, there is certainly something you can do on your own. 

      Yes, you can do meditation and if you are not so familiar with it here is a very good starter of a guided meditation which also doesn’t take too much of your time.

      As far as to seek a good practitioner I always do recommend a Reiki practitioner or a practitioner who does use EFT, Emotional Freedom Technique.

  12. My energy was stagnant for many years and I sometimes felt like an old woman, although, I was only in my mid 40’s.

    I know the books and videos from Donna Eden and it was she who helped me to boost up my energy again.

    I am feeling better now than ever before being now in my mid 50’s 🙂
