Subliminal Messages Powerful & Effective

Subliminal messages can be a powerful tool to change i.e. money concerns, personal issues, even health problems over time when being used regularly and correctly.

Conscious Mind vs. Sub-Conscious Mind

You might have already heard of subliminal messages, or have read about it, even used them in the past.

Are Subliminal Messages Dangerous?

There are lots of urban myths about how sales companies or advertisers use these kinds of messages to manipulate customers to act in a certain way.

The truth is, however, that subliminal messages won’t make you do or feel anything you are not already want to do or like to do.

This fact, ironically, is what makes them so effective and powerful as a self-development tool.

NOTE: However, if you suffer from any kind of mental illness, epilepsy etc. please contact your medical advisor first before using subliminal messages!

Where does the Word Subliminal come from?

The word “subliminal” is actually made up of two words: sub, which means under or below and liminal, which means threshold.

These kinds of messages are therefore presented “below the threshold” of your conscious mind.

However, even though you aren’t aware of the information you are “hearing“, your subconscious mind picks it up and locks it away in your brain, the conscious mind who likes to sabotage, not only our thoughts but, how we act upon, won’t have a chance to do so.

Subliminals Do Work
With Subliminal Messages, You Can Literally Change Your Mind

Here is how it works,  your subconscious mind is, where the real power lies, and all the information we have received since we were born.

Everything you think and believe is stored away in there. If you want to make real changes in your life, you have to be able to make changes at the subconscious level.

Imagine your subconscious mind is like a robot. The first thing you do is to program it to work in a certain way. Unlike any sci-fi movie you may have seen, this robot is incapable of doing anything it hasn’t been programmed to do.

Your subconscious mind works in a similar way just like that. Over the years you have been “programmed” by the things you have seen,  heard, and or have done.

Subliminal Messages

Your thoughts and beliefs are embedded in there too, making you think you are deciding all this stuff consciously… but you are not. Makes sense now?

Perhaps you stop for a  moment after reading this and think about certain decisions you had made in the past or even recently.

For instance, that’s why so many people find it hard to quit smoking by using their pure willpower alone, or to find the motivation to exercise more or to lose weight, or gain more self-confidence etc. The list can go on.

It’s almost impossible to make any real changes that have a significant impact on your conscious life unless, you first, make those changes at a subconscious level.

How Effective are Subliminal Messages?

With using subliminal messages, your subconscious mind gets constantly bombarded with positive messages that can literally change the way you think and therefore can change your life.

These subliminal messages literally do bypass the conscious mind completely (Remember: below the threshold), so that our logical mind doesn’t get in the way.

The more your subconscious mind is exposed to these new ideas, the easier it is for you to alter your behavior and that gives you the chance to change your programming from the inside out.

How Do I use Subliminal Messages?

Subliminal messages are presented in the form of audio or visual stimuli. In a form of background sounds or flashing images, which you aren’t even aware.

They sneak into your subconscious mind and start working to change your attitudes, making it easier to break bad habits and develop new, positive ones, and can give you that extra push you need to take your life in a whole new direction.

Is my Willpower not Enough?

You might have enormous willpower and determination, but on their own, they simply aren’t enough. That’s why so many people give up on their New Year’s resolutions after a month or two because deep down they haven’t actually changed anything.

To do that, you need to get into your subconscious mind and input the new programming that will help you change your beliefs and ultimately allow you to reach your goal.

 Final Words

I have used subliminal messages in the past and still do to this today. I certainly have achieved quite a turnout with this method.

Of course, in the beginning, I was very skeptical and thought this can only be another gimmick. Well, I am glad that this time, I was totally wrong with my assumption.

I have achieved lots of positive changes over time. I had many insecurities and years back had not only a low attitude of myself but couldn’t find any real positives to call myself a self-confident person.

Well, if you would meet me in person today, you certainly won’t see any of these past struggles I had to go through. Subliminal messages did help me and in less than 3 months I was already a different person.

I kept going on using them. Not on a daily basis anymore, but as a maintenance tool, at least 1-2 times a week.

Please, let me know how it was for you. I really like to hear your story and experience with subliminal messages.

You also can leave me a comment below and perhaps like to share your thoughts and experiences when you, too, have used this method in the past.

Always wishing you a wonderful day!

  1. Hello there Sylvia,
Aweesome article about subliminal messages. I am just doing some research on the topic and actually doing a personal exercise as well, and so far, I am loving it. It really gets me ‘psyched’ just to know that I can ‘reprogram’ my mind/thoughts given time. I am patient so I am also looking forward to the changes that I choose to focus on.
Thanks for the ‘stamp of approval’ on this and your experience as well.

    1. Thank you, Michelle, for your comment and to share your experience with Subliminal messages and that they do work, given it the time because nothing comes just overnight.

We need to commit and do it, at least in this case, for 30 days, of course, some people will experience the positive changes sooner than others.

  2. The subconscious is very powerful. There are a lot of things we have done in our lives and some paths we have taken that were possible because of our subconscious. There are things buried deep inside our minds that’s affect the way we live our lives.

What you said about some of our habits been developed by our subconscious is absolutely true. Some things we might have seen or done in the past without us realizing has affected us one way or the other which is why if we want to change our current selves we need to start from the subconscious.

I really enjoyed this post because it reflexs on the way I have lived my life.

    1. Thank you Jay for your insightful comment on the matter.

I couldn’t agree more with what you have said.

I am glad you have enjoyed my article 🙂

  3. I am a full believer in the power of subliminal messaging. I have purchased a few tracks from RealSubliminal and could see results after about a week and a half or so. I, too, was very sceptical about it in the beginning, but now fully agree with this article that it is a powerful tool that can be used to make you a better person 🙂

    1. Thanks for your comment and your positive view about Subliminal messages, it certainly confirms what I personally have experienced and yes, it is a powerful tool.

  4. Hey there! I hope you’re doing well. This post contains very useful information on personal development. I’ve been in a similar place and have suffered a lot in life. With the help of some personal therapists, I was able to recover from some mental issues. Are there any tips and tricks that can help?

Thanks a lot for taking your precious time in writing this blog post. I’ve really enjoyed reading this. Cheers!!!

    1. Thanks for your comment and your openness about your personal situation.

As I have written in my article that if a person isn’t sure because they suffer from a mental illness or having seizures, it is the best to consult your medical physician or your therapist and ask them if it safe to use.

  5. Hi Sylvia, love your site. It’s so colourful and informative. I read your piece on subliminal messages. I remember when I was younger. The were some claims that Coca-Cola but subliminal mages on the cinema, replacing four or five frames with big text “drink more coke”. It was banned because it was so effective! So I just downloaded your MP3… Thank you!

    1. Hi Donald,

Yes, this is true, commercial advertisers at one time did use “visual” subliminal messages, which due to public outcry, was banned.

Using subliminal messages for the purpose to improve one’s life and changing “bad” habits certainly can be very beneficial. I know it for a fact because I am using them too. 🙂

  6. Hi, Sylvia!

I have had my little experience with subliminal messages. I bought one software that showed subliminal messages on my computer screen every 2 seconds or so. and the messages could be written by me so I knew exactly what I was “feeding” to my subconscious mind.

In fact, I have also used the audio versions of subliminal messages but I didn’t feel very comfortable with those because I can’t tell for sure what kind of messages I am getting… I might be little bit paranoiac but I am afraid that someone is trying to manipulate me and not in a good way.

That’s why I think the software was good thing (it was also possible to make audio recordings) unfortunately, my computer broke soon after I started to use it so I can’t really say if it did any good for me, but after reading your article I got interested in this argument again and I am going to see if I can get that software back.

    1. Hi Maria,

Thanks for your detailed comment on subliminal messages.

I too, was in the beginning very careful with the audio version because of the same reason as you mentioned.

I know about the software to make your own subliminal messages, which I think is an awesome idea.

The audios I am using are legit, they even have a spoken version of what is the messages.

Altogether, I like it and it works. 🙂

  7. Subliminal messages is one of themes that i’m really interested in. I have even read a whole book about it. Some people claim that tthey are useless urban myths, but i really believe that they exist and they’re really succesfull in their purposes. And subliminal messages aren’t just flash pop-up images. They’re concepts that are applied on humans in a long time span. They play with you and have effect on you for a long time periiod. Think about it. 10 years ago the social manners were totally different. Now we’ve become sex-imposing, consumer maniac society, and subliminal messages is a tool of choice as making the difference.

    1. Interesting what you saying Tyler, and you are right too. This concept certainly can and is applied especially to make us the “Monster Consumer”.

However, the use of subliminal messages to change an unwanted habit of yours, or to improve already existing skills, not being utilized completely; Subliminal messages can and do help with that too. I am prove of it.

This is my main focus, self-development and for that it is the right tool, in my opinion. 🙂

  8. Hey Sylvia,

I like the idea of doing work once (recording and getting into the emotion) and then having it done on autopilote and kind of trusting the whole process.
But even though I am working with the mind myself and have heard quite a bit about subliminal messages, somehow I never really liked them to be honest.
For me it is more important to find a conscious way to deal with all the ups and downs of life that you can use right in the moment and thus you can deal with the situation more effectively and get closer to achieving your dreams. In my personal experience mindfulness meditation has been extremely helpful in that regard. Have you had experience with that too?
I think a complementary approach might be very helpful. Subliminal messaging to get the ball rolling more easily and mindfulness for ongoing maintenance 😉 Sounds like a plan?

    Best wishes,

    1. Hi Philip,

Thank you very much for your thoughtful comment and insight. I do agree with you, that subliminal messages can sometimes been seen as a bit “cheesy”, almost like a scam.

But, in reality it isn’t a scam at all. Our sub-conscious mind are the 90% under the surface we most of the time have no access to it. We really don’t know what kind of “programming” is hiding there and so on.

By listening to subliminal messages accompanied with soothing nature sounds etc, will bypass our busy conscious mind and can go directly to the source so to speak.

I too, love meditating and there is no reason why someone couldn’t do it, even using both.

For me, everything is worth to try to get closer to myself and find those hidden blocks, but also some “sleeping” strength.

  9. Sylvia, I enjoyed your article on subliminal messages and how they can be life changing. For years, I have played my subliminal CDs at night while I sleep and find the next morning that I wake up refreshed, positive, good mood, passionate, and excited to take on the day. Like you for whatever reason I stopped listening for a few months and noticed my attitude changed for the worse. I quickly got back to falling asleep to the CD’s and was immediately back to the better me.Great job on getting this out to your readers. I can confirm they really do work. Keep up the good service.

    1. Hi Robert,

Happy to see that you are too using subliminal messages. It is always a good feeling to be “confirmed” by someone else.

There is really no harm in trying it out for oneself and see how it can work for you too.

Thank you for your testimonial, appreciated. 🙂

  10. Hi Sylvia

This post is really appealing to me, since I’m coming from a similar angle as a trainer and coach in stress regulation. My conclusion over the years about what enables real change is quite similar like yours: the true potential is hidden in the subconscious realm.

From what I understand, the key lies in relaxation, in the ability to reduce the frequency of the brain waves from the Beta level to the Alpha level. I written a lot about this, you might find this helpful, it’s about hypnosis and suggestion: WHAT IS THE SECRET OF HYPNOSIS – How To Access The Subconscious Mind.

I’ll definitely bookmark your page and try the free sample. Will be back soon (or later 😉

    Cheers, Stefan

    1. Hi Stefan,

This is awesome, I am always grateful and happy to meet “like-minded” people. Yes, I do know about brainwaves and how they operate. I also do know your website (is bookmarked as well) and have a read some of your articles about Hypnosis!!! Great stuff!!!

      Wish you all the best.

  11. I had heard of subliminal messaging before. I had not been aware that one could be awake or doing something (like computer work) and have the messages playing in the background. Seems like a nice easy way to improve ones feelings and mood.
Is there a particular mode or timing of the messages in terms of tone, kind of voice (female or male) that works best?
    Interesting article.

    1. David, if you go to subliminal guru, you are able to download one or two free albums of your choice.

There is of course one spoken part, but usually you won’t hear it really with your physical ears. The spoken part is very low in volume.

I have it running every day when I am working at the computer.

Try it out for yourself and see. 🙂

  12. This is something new to me. I have never heard of Subliminal Messages. I am still kind of confused though. Wouldn’t this be the same as hypnosis?

How exactly does it work? I know you mentioned audio tapes… is it something you listen to over and over again until it’s installed in your head?

    1. Subliminal messages bypassing your conscious mind targeting directly your sub-conscious mind.

You just listening either in a relaxed stage when you have time, or as I usually doing it by working on my computer doing my work and listening more unaware of it, because it does run in the background with a low volume.

Hope that helped you a bit. 🙂
